At Exile Skimboards, we pride ourselves in keeping things fresh. What better way to freshen things up than to have an all out battle of designers to make our 2011 bottom art designs?
Our favorite design will be used in our 2011 Line of Skimboards, and the winner will receive a brand new customizable Dude! Cruise in Sglass, our professional riders favorite style. A $410 value, but basically priceless. Other prizes for bottom arts that we choose to use will be gift certificates for anything from Exile Skimboards, with dollar amounts up to $250.
All entries should be CMYK, at a resolution of 150dpi or higher and in proper size, being 25" x 58". A couple things to keep in mind: The board outline is very approximate. Obviously a size large skimboard will be larger and a size XS will be way smaller. This is about size M....
To ensure your art is big enough, you should really design so that your art fills up the entire rectangle.
The attached psd is properly sized at 150dpi. You can do higher resolution if you want, but 150 should be sufficient.
You can email lower resolution jpgs to steve to submit the ideas or post them up on our facebook for people to comment on and see. Obviously if we like it, we will need the full file... which is why you should design in full resolution from the start. Otherwise, we cant use it and you dont get nothin...
