Tuesday, 12 May 2009 00:00It has been a long road to get here, but starting this year Brad Domke has his very own Pro Model from Exile Skimboards. As many of you may know, Brad suffered a severe leg break in 2006 which required surgery in a Mexican hospital during the Cabo Contest that year. All of this happened just as Brad was set to skim his first full year of competition as a proffessional rider. Higher powers had other plans for the little guy however, plans which included a large metal plate as well as several screws holding his leg together.
Brad kept the metal bones throughout the 2007 and 2008 skim seasons, but as 2009 approached it became clear that it was time to remove the ball and chain. Brad underwent another surgery to remove the plate and screws, freeing up dead weight and restoring full flexibility to his ankle.
The training weels are off folks. It's time to get down to business.
