Not since Amber Cottle in the 1980's has there been a female
skimboarder as influential as Shonna Cobb.
Throughout the late 1990's and 2000's Shonna has won just about every event she has entered. Her aggressive skimboarding stands in stark comparison to the somewhat timid style of her competitors over the years. In more recent times a handful of female skimboarders have stepped
up and begun to skim more boldly. This is slowly leading to a
competitiveness in the women's division that has not been seen before.
It will be interesting to see what happens as more and more female
skimboarders step up and challenge the reigning queen of the women's
division. |
