George's accomplishments in skimboarding are too numerous to list in such
a short amount of space. Needless to say, he has been a leader in
the skimboarding community both in and out of the water, for well over a
decade. Raised in the fertile skimboarding grounds of South Laguna,
he and his posse dominated the local beaches for years. Upon
graduating to the pro ranks he quickly reached the upper echelon of pro
riders and has remained there ever since. Working with his brother,
he has produced annual skimboarding videos which have contributed
enormously to the growth and legitimization of the sport. Out of the
water George is known for being very down to earth and approachable to the
common rider. Somehow, even with his head in the clouds he has
managed to keep both feet planted firmly on the ground. |
