Okay, so its well past time for a update here at Exile Skimboards.  We have so many developments to catch up on that we are just going put it all in one giant news blast.

First of all, we are working on a new website here at Exile which promises to be slick and more importantly, much easier to update.  That means more updates from Exile more often.  Coming in early 2009.

Exile has been growing and the current website hasn't kept up, as it will be replaced soon.  Still, we would like to welcome the following rippers to the team:

  • Fido Martinez - Hailing from Mainland Mexico Fido is one of the godfathers of skimboarding in Mexico.  Additionally, he rips.

  • Aaron Fujimoto - One of the most talented and nicest skimboarders in Hawaii has always felt at home on an Exile.  Its a pleasure to formally welcome him to the team.

  • Cameron Carothers - One of the most down to earth and respected skimboarders in Santa Cruz is a welcome addition to the Exile family.

  • Ken Suzuki - This micro grom in Newport Beach has been turning heads since he started skimming only a couple short years ago.

  • Hugo Fox Santos - Not to be confused with the other Hugo Santos from Portugal, this young ripper is one of the most talented riders in the Portuguese nation.

  • Isaac Zoller - It is no surprise to see Isaac ripping.  This year he turned heads in more than one heat.  So we figured that we might as well make him an official addition to the team.

  • Austin Keen - coming soon...

To make room for all these new riders we are going to have to trim some of the old riders.  We decided to start with Ben Kotin but when we told him he was fired he replied "you can't fire me cause I quit".  We talked him into staying on another year.

We would like to congratulate Exile Team Riders Paulo Prietto, Brad Domke, Brandon Sears, Woody Harris, Chris Marciniak and Sam Stinnett for earning 2nd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 11th and 12th on the 2008 United Skim Tour.  That makes a full six of the top twelve riders on an Exile Skimboard.  Congrats guys.

Someone recently asked me what kind of balloon animal I would like to see.  This is the result:
